Fundraising in Memory of
Paul Lazdowsky
Mass General Brigham cared for my dad for years, and our family was incredibly grateful for the care, compassion, and support he received from the physicians, nurses, and staff throughout his time at Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute.
After witnessing the care he received on Lunder 10, I am proud to use this opportunity to give back and support the work that helped him and so many other patients and families. Our experience there has led us to support Caring for a Cure.
While I was at the hospital with him, I received the news that I had been accepted to run the 2027 London Marathon. I will be running as part of a charity team for The Lord’s Taverners, a UK-based organization that helps young people with disabilities and those from disadvantaged communities participate in sports and recreational opportunities.

What is Caring for a Cure?
Caring for a Cure (CFAC) was started in 2011 by nurses working in the Adult Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant department of Mass General Hospital. CFACs goal to improve the journey for patients and families is best achieved through fundraising for awareness, resources, and research.
CFAC has raised over $3 million since 2011 and the funds have been directed towards things both big and small - from flying in a bone marrow doner from halfway around the world, to sending caregivers out to dinner, to impromptu celebrations of anniversaries and birthdays unexpectedly spent in the hospital, to making sure new leukemia patients have real tissues.
